Virtual Humans, also called chatbots, are intelligent computer driven personalities. They may seem like something out of science fiction, but they are already here. Companies use them as website hosts, individuals use them as personal assistants, and people interact with them in computer games, educational applications, and many other areas.

A chatbot is an artificial person which holds conversations with humans. This could be a text based (typed) conversation, a spoken conversation or even a non-verbal conversation. A chatbot can run on local computers and mobile phones, though most of the time it is accessed through the internet.

Our chatbot Susan is based on AIML and runs on the Pandorabots service.
